MK1 Technique
A first tube stage amplifies the guitar signal for the three parallel channels Clean, Crunch, Lead. The preamplifier is adjusted over a Gain regulator in every channel and regulates the degree of distortion.
After this a further tube stage follows. It increases the signal for the tone control.
- Behind the tone control every channel has the Volume controller. It serves as the level adjustment of the channel under each other
- The input signal is led largely to the final stage unchanged in the Clean channel.
- For the Crunch channel an additional tube stage is used. It emphasizes the typical tube sound
- The Lead channel has a special wiring with two tube stages and creates a special overdrive sound
After the tone control a further tube stage comes. It provides the Master and the Solo volume control.
- The loudness of the final stage is adjusted here
- In the final stage two tubes KT88 work with separate operating points of adjustment
